On behalf of the ICAF 2016 organizing committee, it is my honour and pleasure to welcome all delegates, participants and visitors to the 1st International Conference on Alternative Fuels: Futures and Challenges to be held in the beautiful town of Kayseri (Turkey) from December 2nd to 4th 2016. This Conference is the first conference to be held in Kayseri and we are looking forward to organizing it every year. The conference will be organized by Bio GreenPower Arge (Turkey), Erciyes University and Erciyes Teknopark. Therefore, we would like to cordially invite you to participate in this event.
Kayseri is a large and industrialized city in Central Anatolia, Turkey. It is the seat of Kayseri Province. Kayseri is located at the foot of the extinct volcano Mount Erciyes that towers 3916 m over the city. The city is often cited in the first ranks among Turkey's cities that fit the definition of Anatolian Tigers. The city is rich in historical monuments, dating especially from the Seljuk period. While it is generally visited en route to the international tourist attractions of Cappadocia, Kayseri has many visitor's attractions by its own right: Seljuk and Ottoman era monuments in and around the city centre, Mount Erciyes as a trekking and alpinism centre, Zamantı River as a rafting centre, the historic sites of Kültepe, Ağırnas, Talas and Develi, to name a few. Kayseri is served by Erkilet International Airport and is home to Erciyes University.
Therefore, we are so glad to having you here with us in Kayseri for what promises to be our best and most memorable event. We promise to pack all conference days with technical talks, high quality oral and poster presentations and the chance to meet people from many countries all over the world to discuss the recent researches in Alternative Fuels to environmentally protect our globe from climate change.
The purpose of the International Conference on Alternative Fuels (ICAF-2016) is to bring together researchers, industry and engineers to share and discuss advances and developments in Alternative Fuels and their recent applications.
Topics within the scope of the conference include the following areas, but not limited to:
I hope that the scientific program will be useful and informative.
Therefore, we welcome high quality submissions that could contribute to this promising area of research. All submissions will be sent to professional reviewers to help the authors improve their submissions. Based on reviewers’ comments, all authors will be requested to revise their work accordingly before final submission. We believe this careful consideration will help to establish a high quality and comprehensive program of presentations. Moreover, our team will do the best to help interested participants to apply early for travel fund and entry visa by issuing the necessary documents.
Apart from that we are also planning to organize poster session and industry booth in Erciyes Teknopark. This will give you a good chance to meet with other active R & D companies in Turkey and also outside Turkey.
I extremely encourage all of you to exchange ideas with colleagues; this is indeed a very good opportunity to meet international experts at a one place. In the name of the Conference committee, we highly welcome all of you. We are pleased to keep working to provide you with the best experience at this conference.
Finally, let’s move together, learn and introduce to new friends. Let’s also dive into the sessions and soak up the speeches, but we should not forget to save some time for the social events. I also hope that the social program will live up your expectations and that you will gather fond memories of ICAF 2016 in Kayseri city.
